Claw vs QuickCompany Trademark Watch
QuickCompany Trademark Watch and Claw do overlapping but different jobs. Here is what each does, what each costs, and who should pick which. Last verified October 2026.
Comparison · Trademark Watch
You filed a trademark, or you own one, and you cannot afford to miss a conflicting mark in the Trade Marks Journal. An opposition window is short, and a missed one is hard to get back. So you are comparing watch tools, and QuickCompany Trademark Watch is one of the names that comes up. This page compares QuickCompany Trademark Watch with Claw, fairly. They overlap on registry watch, but they are built for different jobs. Last verified October 2026.
- Last verified: October 2026.
- QuickCompany: trademark-first watch on IP India. Search plan Rs 1,999 per month, Plus plan Rs 4,999 per month (its page, GST not stated).
- Claw: all-in-one IP (registry plus court). Premium Rs 1,099 per month, excl GST. IP is bundled, no IP-only plan.
- Choose QuickCompany for a trademark-only, low-cost watch. Choose Claw when registry and court work sit together.
- Not for Claw: global docketing, USPTO-first, prior-art AI, marketplace takedowns, copyright registration tracking.
01Why trademark watch matters
A trademark watch is a service that reads the Trade Marks Journal and tells you when someone files a mark that looks, sounds or reads like yours. It protects you in two ways.
The opposition window is short
Under the Trade Marks Act, 1999, an opposition to an advertised mark must be filed within three months of the journal publication, with a one month extension possible on request (Section 21). If nobody is watching, you find out after the window shuts.
Conflicts are not always identical
A copycat rarely files your exact mark. It is a spelling change, a similar sound, or a similar logo. A watch that only matches exact text misses most of the real risk.
Registration is not the end
A registered mark lasts ten years and then needs renewal (Section 25). Hearings, show-cause notices and renewal dates all need a calendar. Many owners also meet the problem in court, when a conflict turns into an infringement suit.

02What good trademark watch looks like
Judge any watch tool on these points.
- Journal monitoring: does it scan each new journal and flag conflicts for your marks?
- Match quality: text, phonetic and visual matching, not text alone.
- Deadlines: hearings, oppositions, renewals and other compliances in one calendar.
- Alerts: email or WhatsApp, so a deadline does not sit unread.
- What happens after a conflict: can you see related court cases, or only the registry side?
- Cost and lock-in: a clear price you can cancel.
A watch finds the conflict. What you do next depends on whether the tool can see the registry, the calendar and the courts.
03QuickCompany Trademark Watch
QuickCompany is an Indian company and trademark services platform. Its Trademark Watch product is a focused registry tool, built for trademark work. Its own page lists these users: IP law firms, trademark attorneys and agents, corporate legal and brand protection teams, brand owners and startups, and IP consultants.
QuickCompany Trademark Watch
A trademark-first watch and management tool for IP India, priced by the month.
Strengths
- Built only for trademarks, so the workflow is focused.
- The Plus plan lists journal watch, opposition tracking, a deadlines and calendar view, similar new trademark alerts, and WhatsApp and email updates.
- Monthly plans with UPI payment and cancel anytime, as stated on its page.
- The Plus plan lists support for 1 to 10 users.
Keep in mind
- Its page describes trademark work. We could not find patents, designs or GI tracking on the plans we read.
- It does not look at court cases. Court-side infringement research is a separate task.
- Its page says stamp duty, notary, attorney fees and taxes are extra, so the final cost can be higher than the plan price.
Best for Trademark attorneys, small brands and startups that want a low-cost, trademark-only watch.
04Claw, a wider job
Claw is not a trademark-only tool. It is an all-in-one IP tool for India. Its IPR Solutions tab follows IP India matters across trademarks, patents, designs and geographical indications.
- Journal conflict monitoring: detects conflicting marks using text, phonetic and visual matching, and alerts you.
- Compliances: pending compliances, including trademark renewals and patent annuity and response deadlines.
- Hearings: pending hearings from trademark and patent filings, with related documents, tasks and activities.
- The court side: IP litigation across every Indian court that has a case website. This includes party-name infringement discovery, the High Court IP Divisions (for Delhi IPD, by case-type code such as C.O.(COMM.IPD-TM), and by court plus number or party), and IPD hearings, orders and cause lists.
- Research: IP judgment research over 30 crore+ judgments, plus LegalGPT.
The point is one platform for the registry and the court. Scale: 9,102 courts, benches and forums, 1.5 billion+ records, results in under 5 seconds, Supreme Court from 1950 and High Courts from 1990.
One honest limit: Claw does not yet track copyright registration at the Copyright Office. For copyright, Claw is court-side only.
05Side-by-side comparison
| Question | QuickCompany Trademark Watch | Claw |
|---|---|---|
| Main job | Trademark watch and management on IP India | All-in-one IP: registry plus court, with case management and AI |
| Trademark journal watch | Yes, on the Plus plan (per its page) | Yes, with text, phonetic and visual matching |
| Patents, designs, GI | Not shown on the plans we read | Yes, in the IPR Solutions tab |
| Renewals and deadlines | Deadlines and calendar on Plus | Pending compliances including TM renewals and patent annuity and response deadlines |
| IP court cases and IPD orders | Not part of the product | Yes, across every Indian court with a case website |
| Judgment research | Not part of the product | Yes, 30 crore+ judgments and LegalGPT |
| Copyright registration tracking | Not shown | No. Court-side only |
| Users | 1 on Search, 1 to 10 on Plus | Per Premium or Enterprise plan |
| Pricing model | Public monthly plans | Premium bundle, Enterprise on quote |
This is not a win for one side on every row. QuickCompany is narrower and cheaper to start on a single trademark job. Claw is wider because it adds the court side and other IP types.
06Pricing, sourced and dated
Prices below were read in October 2026. Always check the vendor page before you buy.
- QuickCompany Search plan: Rs 1,999 per month. Plus plan: Rs 4,999 per month. Both are listed for IPIndia on the QuickCompany Trademark Watch page, retrieved October 2026. The page also lists a free single-user plan with limited features. The page says stamp duty, notary, attorney fees and taxes are extra. It does not state whether the plan prices include GST, so treat GST as not confirmed.
- Claw Premium: Rs 1,099 per month or Rs 10,999 per year, excluding GST, per clawlaw.in/price, October 2026. IP is bundled in Premium and Enterprise. There is no IP-only plan. Claw also has a free plan for individual advocates and Enterprise on quote.
The honest read: Claw Premium costs less per month than the QuickCompany Plus plan, and also includes case management, case search and AI tools. If you want only a trademark watch, QuickCompany Search at Rs 1,999 is a different product with a different scope. Compare what you need, not just the number.
07Who should NOT buy Claw
Claw is the wrong choice in these cases.
- You need a trademark-only watch and nothing else. If you never go to court and do not track patents or designs, a focused tool like QuickCompany may fit better.
- You need global, multi-jurisdiction docketing and annuities. Look at Anaqua, Clarivate or Dennemeyer.
- You run very high-volume docketing as a specialist IP firm. Look at Iolite or JSK.
- Your work is USPTO or CIPO first. Look at Alt Legal.
- You need AI prior-art or structure search. Look at PatSnap, Questel or IPRally.
- You need mass marketplace takedowns. Look at Red Points or Corsearch.
- You run a technology transfer office lifecycle. Look at Wellspring or Inteum.
- You need copyright registration tracking. Claw does not yet track the Copyright Office.
08How to choose
If your job is only trademark watch and a calendar, and you want a low monthly bill, QuickCompany is a reasonable fit. If your job spans registry and court, for example a conflict that may become an infringement suit, or you also hold patents and designs, an all-in-one tool saves you from stitching systems together. If you are a brand or in-house team, ask how many marks you have, who else needs access, and whether litigation sits with you or an outside firm.
A simple test: list the last five IP tasks you did. If all were at IP India, a registry tool is enough. If some were in court, you need the court side too.
09Where Claw fits
Claw is an all-in-one legaltech platform for Indian advocates, law firms, and corporate legal teams, combining AI-based case search, an AI legal assistant (Legal GPT), case management, and compliance automation across all Indian courts and tribunals.
For IP, Claw fits the owner or team who wants the registry and the court in one place: journal conflict alerts, renewals and compliances, hearings, and IP litigation across Indian courts, with judgment research and LegalGPT on top, in one Premium subscription. For that all-in-one India IP job, with value counted in, Claw is our pick, while we concede the specialist depths listed above. Claw does not name customers, since client details are confidential.
